1) I have successfully installed SLIFT-Ez
Classic/J already but when I try to encrypt/decrypt a file,
I encounter the following exception message, "java.lang.SecurityException:
Unsupported keysize or algorithm parameters". What can
I do to rectify this?
The exception occurs when there is a restriction on the strength
of cryptographic keys as imposed by the Java Cryptography
Extension (JCE) supplied with the Java 2 SDK, v1.4 . You can
download an unlimited strength version of the jurisdiction
policy files to replace the strong cryptography version.
For more information on how to download and install these
files for the version of your JRE, please visit http://java.sun.com/products/jce
or https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/jcesdk/jcesdk-p
(registered download).
2) I have successfully installed SLIFT-Ez Classic/J and Java
2 SDK, v1.4 with the unlimited strength JCE jurisdiction policy
files already but when I try to encrypt/decrypt a file, I
still encounter the following exception message, "java.lang.SecurityException:
Unsupported keysize or algorithm parameters". What can
I do to rectify this?
Check that the JCE jurisdiction policy files are updated
for Java 2 SDK, v1.4 and not any other Java versions residing
on the same machine.
3) How should I install the JCE jurisdiction policy files?
Please refer to the Readme file that comes with the downloaded
JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files package.
